Applicant Information
The 2025 Freedom Hunt event will take place September 26th - 28th. The event is open to both boys and girls between the ages of seven and seventeen (at the time of our event), who have been diagnosed with a special need(s).
The application window will close on July 15th. Accepted participants will be notified before August 1st.
As Freedom Hunt continues to grow, we are constantly reviewing our policies with respect to camp and hunting rules and regulations. Due to the increase in popularity of the hunt, we have decided to limit the number of guests per hunter. All hunters will be limited to three guests in camp throughout the two-day event. The same rule applies to camp volunteers. However, afternoon on Sunday, we will welcome anyone into camp for our closing ceremonies and the door prize giveaway. We would specifically note that children are not to be left unattended at camp, including volunteers who leave the camp for any reason during the weekend.
Hunting License Help
After Being Accepted… Please note that all participants are required to have the appropriate Indiana DNR hunting license for the event. Participants should submit a copy of their license to Freedom Hunt on or before Sept 1st to secure their spot at the event.
